Laura (Holliday Grainger) and Tyler (Alia Shawkat, Arrested Development) are used to sharing everything, as they maraud across Dublin, ingesting everything in their path. Yet when Laura becomes close to pianist Jim (Fra Fee), their intertwined lives start to untangle in this hilarious, bitingly real story of female friendship. It’s rare to see friendship unfold this authentically on screen, but Shawkat and Grainger embody the decade long closeness with an effervescent, whip-smart chemistry. Director Sophie Hyde (52 Tuesdays) gives us a judgement-free take on untameable characters with sharp tongues and blunt morals.
