My Beautiful Laundrette

Stephen Frears’ (‘Florence Foster Jenkins’, ‘Philomena’) multi-layered social comedy, ‘My Beautiful Laundrette’, tells of the relationship forged across the cultural divide between young Asian Omar (Gordon Warnecke) and his friend and lover Johnny (Daniel Day-Lewis) as they finance and open their dream launderette.
