Kelly (Nika McGuigan) has been gone a long time. So her sudden appearance back in Lauren’s (Nora-Jane Noone) life not only comes as a shock to her sister, but everyone else in the close-knit Irish community. It’s clear that all is not well with Kelly and no sooner has Lauren welcomed her into the home she shares with Sean (Martin McCann) than Kelly starts to resist any attempts to slip quietly back into the community. Moreover, her behaviour is having an adverse effect on Lauren. At least, that’s what Sean and Lauren’s colleagues think. But the girls share a painful past and things look set to get worse unless the siblings face up to it.
