The director of the wistful ‘The Lunchbox’ once again delivers another subtle romance alongside a lively portrait that captures daily life in Mumbai. Rafi earns a living taking photos of tourists at the Gateway to India. One day, he happens to snap a young woman. When his grandmother threatens to go on hunger strike if he doesn’t get married, he sends the photo to her, claiming the woman is his fiancée. But now the grandmother is travelling to Mumbai to meet the woman and Rafi has no choice but to search for her. Ritesh Batra’s romantic comedy oozes charm as it celebrates Indian culture.
