All About These Mothers

From an expectant mother in New Zealand and a grieving one in Spain to an ageing matriarch ruling over her clan in Paris to the close bonds between mother and daughter in both Tel Aviv and Deep South USA, to celebrate Mothers’ Day we have put together a collection of films that spans the world and the various stages of Motherhood. The films run the gamut of genres, from laugh-out-loud comedy (Baby Done) and high-octane melodrama (All About My Mother, The Truth) to unsettling horror (Relic), psycho-drama (We Need to Talk About Kevin) and the far reaches of outer space (Proxima). But all offer their own unique perspective on motherhood.
